Profile

Prof. Jinah Park received her B.S.E. in Electrical Engineering from Columbia University in New York (1988), followed by an M.S.E. (1991) and a Ph.D. (1996) in Computer and Information Science from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. Her primary academic contributions are in medical imaging, where she pioneered a computational technique for analyzing cardiac motion using MR tagging data. Currently, she is conducting research on deformable models for morphometric studies related to aging brain structures. In addition to her work in medical imaging, her recent studies explore 3D interaction behavior in virtual environments, particularly focusing on haptic feedback. Prof. Park is a faculty member in the School of Computing at KAIST, leading the Computer Graphics and Visualization (CGV) Research Laboratory. She also founded the KAIST Special Interest Group on Future Emerging Technology in Medical Imaging, and she serves as the President of Korean Society of Imaging Informatics in Medicine (KSIIM).
